Staff Sgt. Ian Putansu, a native of Camden, Maine, talks with former Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling at Combat Outpost Bassam, northwest of Baghdad, Dec. 6. Putansu, an avid Red Sox fan, said he considered the visit to be the happiest day of his Red Sox nation life. Schilling visited the Soldiers of Headquarters and Headquarters Troop "Headhunter," 2nd Squadron 14th Cavalry Regiment "Strykehorse," 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team "Warrior," 25th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad as a part of a Morale, Welfare and Recreation tour. Putansu is a human intelligence section sergeant with HHT.
