Service-members volunteered their time to help rebuild a basement that was destroyed during Hurricane Sandy in 2012. Homeowner, Cathy Gaffney, a native of Staten Island, says the generosity of the service-members giving up their time, to help repair her house not only takes away the reminder of the storm but also heals her heart in such a way that she cannot express it with words.
