Sgt. 1st Class John Snider, the project site noncommissioned officer in charge of the Las Carretas site and member of Missouri's 35th Engineer Brigade, inspects the work that the soldiers of the 1st platoon of the 1430th Engineer Brigade have produced May 6, 2014 in support of Beyond the Horizon 2014 - Guatemala. "This type of training is expensive," commented Snider. "But it is a good expense for the training these guys are receiving. They have to learn to work with a new mind set. You have to work with what you've got here, you can't run to Lowe's and just grab what you need." Snider is one of five duration Engineer soldiers from Missouri that support the rotation soldiers at each of the four sites of Beyond the Horizon 2014 -Guatemala.
