Army Sgt. John Truitt, a native of Wetumka, Okla., and a member of the 486th Civil Affairs Battalion, based out of Tulsa, Okla., and Staff Sgt. Angel Vazquez, a native of Naranjito, Puerto Rico, with the 402nd Civil Affairs Battalion out of Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico, both assigned to Task Force Larimar, speak with a local healthcare provider during the humanitarian and civic assistance mission, Beyond the Horizon 2014, May 13. The civil affairs team is providing information to local communities about BTH, a mission in which troops are building schools, clinics and also providing medical care to local citizens at no cost.
