Marines with 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin, conduct a conditioning hike aboard Robertson Barracks, May 16, 2014. The hike was more than 8 miles and was designed to acclimate the Marines to hiking in the Northern Territory’s humid climate. The Marines with MRF-D will conduct independent and bilateral training with the Australian Defence Force in the Northern Territory and at existing ADF facilities during the six-month rotation.
