A LearJet 35 assigned to the German Air Force Flying Training Center at Holloman AFB, takes off on a close air support mission over the White Sands Missile Range during Bold Quest 14.2 held May 3-22. This civilian LearJet has been retrofitted with a Lighting Pod to communicate target data and location to joint terminal air controllers on the ground. Nearly 800 military and civilian personnel from eight partner countries have traveled to Holloman to test the real-world integration of their close air support equipment and personnel. Bold Quest 14.2 is the latest in its series and the first to be held in New Mexico.
