U.S. Marines with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 161, Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW) fly over Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, San Diego, Calif. aboard an MV-22B Osprey during training Exercise Desert Scimitar (DS-14) on May 11, 2014. DS-14 is a large-scale combined arms, live-fire exercise integrating ground troops from 1st Marine Division, aviation and logistical support from 3rd MAW and 1st Marine Logistics Group to ensure that our nation is fully prepared for employment as a maneuver force across the range of military operations.
