    85th Support Command

    William Ford, right, 85th Support Command engineer, gives a historical brief of the facility’s use during World War II and during the Cold War when it was a Nike Missile Base. The congressional group was there for an Army Reserve briefing on its mission, capabilities, and impact across the state and country, May 6.
    The briefing led by Col. Rhonda Smillie, Legislative Liaison, 88th RSC; was supported by Army Reserve Ambassadors for Illinois, William Hawes, and Jack Kotter; and Brig. Gen. Stephen Curda, Commanding General, 351st Civil Affairs Command.
