Staff Sgt. Daniel R. Usie, of Arnaudville, La., stands ready to storm a building during Military Operations in Urban Terrain training in Hammelberg, Germany. This training is designed to aid deploying units in preparation for battles they may face in close-quarter, urban environments such as Baghdad. Usie, and approximately 150 Soldiers from the 256th Infantry Brigade Combat Team in Abbeville, La., spent three weeks in Germany providing assistance to U.S. active duty components and troops from Poland, Great Britain, Romania and the Czech Republic deploying in support of the Global War on Terrorism.
