Sgt. Maj. Darell Sears, a native of Frametown, W.Va., construction inspector with the West Virginia National Guard, and Staff Sgt. Joseph Rivera, a native of Caguas, Puerto Rico, and a member of the 113th Public Affairs Detachment, Puerto Rico National Guard, currently assigned to Task Force Larimar exchanged views on the construction of a new schoolhouse with Eufemia Lopez Lopez, principal of the Luis Felipe Felix Feliz school, May 8, at Barahona, Dominican Republic. The U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army Reserve, Guardsmen and the army of the Dominican Republic are working together to provide engineering and medical support to the people of Barahona province as part of the Beyond the Horizon 2014 mission, which provides humanitarian and civic assistance to the residents of Barahona.
