Spouses of active-duty service members stationed in the Beaufort, S.C., area ascend the staircase of the rappel tower’s fast-rope during Spouse Warrior Day on May 3, 2014, on Parris Island, S.C. Marine Corps Community Services sponsors the event each year to provide military spouses with a greater insight in their partner’s military life style and build camaraderie among family members.
