Members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Australian Army, and U.S. Marines meet with Albay Governor Joey Salceda May 2 in Legazpi City, Albay province, Philippines. The meeting was one of several between members of the local community, AFP, U.S. and Australian armed forces to discuss the humanitarian civic assistance programs taking place across Albay as a part of Exercise Balikatan. This year marks the 30th iteration of Balikatan, an annual bilateral training exercise between the Philippines and U.S. that increases interoperability and strengthens the longstanding partnership of the two allies.
