An UH-60 Black Hawk operated by 3rd Battalion, 238th General Support Aviation Battalion, 42nd Combat Aviation Brigade, lands during a deck landing qualification on the USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19) April 30, 2014, somewhere in the Arabian Gulf. The 42nd CAB, composed of National Guardsmen from New York, Michigan, Delaware, Indiana, and Kentucky, and soldiers from Illesheim, Germany, is currently deployed to Kuwait in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, and conducts joint partnerships and exchanges with nations from across the region.
