U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Matt Blackman, Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), team leader and native of Lewisville, N.C., holds security along with his squad during a patrol as part of a U.S.-French bilateral exercise. The exercise is designed to improve interoperability between nations, increase readiness and develop professional relationships.
