Landing craft air cushion (LCAC) vehicles assigned to Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 4, embarked aboard the multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), wait on a beach to carry troops and equipment back to the ship during sustainment training ashore. Bataan is the flagship for the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
