A Canadair Bombardier makes its approach to the runway of Najaf International Airport, Nov. 16. The aircraft was the first commercial airline to land at Najaf's airport since it's opening last July. The planes are part of the Ministry of Transportation's initiative to replace the fleet of aging 727's that operate out of Baghdad.
