A ribbon cutting ceremony was held at the battalion command post of 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C., April 25, 2014, in which an NCO lounge was dedicated to the noncommissioned officers within the battalion. The lounge was dedicated by the battalion commander, Lt. Col. Joel Schmidt, as a way to demonstrate his dedication, trust and confidence in the battalion’s NCOs.
