A Sons of Iraq member verifies that he has received the correct pay, Nov. 10, 2008, during payday operations at Patrol Base South, northwest of Baghdad. The payday operation was a historic one as the government of Iraq took over funding from coalition forces. Each SOI member received 354,000 Iraqi Dinar, the equivalent to $350 American, for their month's work.
