Robin Swan, a native of Pittsburgh who serves as a deputy commanding general, 4th Infantry Division and Multi-National Division – Baghdad, talks about the current progress of transitioning the Sons of Iraq into government of Iraq control and care to Newsweek reporter Lennox Samuels at the Jihad Civil Service Department in the West Rashid District of Baghdad Nov. 10, 2008. There are more than 30 CSDs throughout Baghdad where both men and women can go to receive training in various fields such as general construction, auto repair, telecommunications, clerical and administration, etc. CSDs are one way the government is aiding former SoI to find employment. Currently, Jihad CSD is training approximately 400 students with 176 of those being former SoI.
