U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Brandon Scarborough, Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), squad leader and native of Slippery Rock, Pa., practices tactical communication during a corporals course aboard the USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19). Corporals Course Class 1-14 is a three-week course focused on providing the skills necessary to lead Marines, and is designed to provide the war fighting skills, core values and mindset necessary for effective leadership of a team and subordinate Marines.
