Secretary of the Navy the Honorable Dr. Donald C. Winter announces the naming of the Zumwalt-class destroyer USS Michael Monsoor during the 3rd Annual Navy SEAL Warrior Fund Benefit Gala in New York. Petty Officer 2nd Class Michael Monsoor was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions during combat on Sept. 29, 2006 in Ar Ramadi, Iraq.
