These tracks are from a female hawksbill sea turtle crawling back to the ocean after laying a nest of eggs in the pebbled sand at U.S. Naval Station Guantanamo Bay's Windmill Beach during the night. Sea turtles nest their eggs at night and far enough from the shoreline that the tide will not wash away their nesting area.
