First Lt. Colin Grant, 10th Mountain Division, 1st Lt. Benjamin Jackson and 1st Lt. Merle McConnell, both 101st Airborne Division, complete an obstacle while competing in the 31st Annual David E. Grange Jr. Best Ranger Competition, held at Fort Benning , Ga., April 11, 2014. The three-day competition consists of various challenging events, placing two-man teams in physically and mentally strenuous situations, ultimately testing their prowess based on a scoring system.
