    379th Air Expeditionary Wing

    Lt. Col. Randall Collins, aero medical/dental flight commander assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Medical Group, uses the biomicroscope to magnify the surface of the eye which allows him to examine the front half of Airman 1st Class Jakara Simmons, medical technician assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Medical Group, eye Oct. 14, 2008 at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. The optometry members are responsible for ensuring vision readiness which ensures all members here are mission ready. Lt. Col. Collins, a native of Lakeview, Ore., is deployed from Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, and Airman Simmons, a native of Charleston, S.C., is deployed from Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala., in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa.
