The aerial refueling boom of a U.S. Air Force KC-10 Extender advanced aerial tanker and cargo aircraft from the 908th Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron, transfers fuel into an A-10 Thunderbolt II from the 75th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan, April 2, 2014, over Northeast, Afghanistan. The A-10 Thunderbolt II is the first Air Force aircraft specifically designed for close air support of ground forces.
