Navy Lt. Carl E. Long, a mobile physician assistant with 1st Marine Logistics Groups surgical team, uses an ultra sound on a simulated casualty to determine if the patient had bleeding in the chest abdominal pelvic cavities during a mass casualty drill at Mudaysis, Oct. 10, 2008. Two Marines acted as roll players who've been severely wounded in combat and required emergency medical treatment. "We had a full-scale evaluation to include our air assets," said Long, 37, from Boardman, Ohio. "Everybody did exactly what they needed to do during this drill."
