Petty Officer 1st Class Ryan Lontos checks the stabilizing systems in the cockpit of an SH-60F Seahawk, assigned to the "Black Knights" of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron 4, in the hangar bay of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan. As an aviation electrician's mate, Lontos maintains, adjusts, and repairs electrical-power generating, converting, and distribution systems in aircraft. Ronald Reagan is currently deployed to the 5th Fleet/NAVCENT area of responsibility. Operations in the NAVCENT area of operations are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
