U.S. Navy Lt. j.g. Grade John Maurus, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit 11 team leader, adjusts the bomb disposal suit worn by U.S. Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Ryan Donofrio prior to the EOD Memorial five kilometer run April 2. The bomb disposal suit is designed to protect EOD technicians when handling explosive material. The EOD team organized the run to raise awareness of the sacrifice of EOD technicians worldwide, and to bring attention to the EOD Memorial Foundation, a non-profit organization established on behalf wounded or deceased EOD technicians and their families.
