Aviation ordnanceman Airman Chelsey Krupnick, from Woodland Hills, Calif., uses a pneumatic grinder to remove non-skid from a deck plate on the fantail aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis. Stennis is conducting pre-deployment exercises off the coast of Southern California.
