Petty Officer 1st Class Jonh Gasbarro, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 27, prepares to place 2x4 lumber in place during construction of a roof section on a southwest Asia hut at a remote Marine Combat Outpost in support of Marine operations in Western Iraq. The Seabees of NMCB-27, also known as the "Skibees," are deployed to Iraq and other areas of operation in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. The tasking of the Seabees is to conduct construction projects and help improve the living conditions for the Marines and other units operating in the al-Anbar province.
