Cordovan local, Dick Groff, provides instructions to 2nd Lt. Thomas Howard during Exercises Alaska Shield and Vigilant Guard-Alaska 2014 in Cordova, Alaska. This statewide exercise simulated an earthquake and subsequent tsunamis. The purpose of the exercise was to test the emergency response services in place around the state.
