Gen. Sudan, commander of the 5th Provincial Security Forces in Karmah, assures some of the most prominent leaders and sheiks of the Sahara tribe they will not be threatened by insurgents, October 4, 2008. The meeting was the first since the June 26 suicide bombing that claimed a number of lives and injured many others, including Marines from 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment.
