Tech. Sgt. Amber Meyer, 379th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, 746th Aircraft Maintenance Unit, directs an incoming C-130 Hercules to a stop, Oct. 6, 2008. The aircraft is stopped then backed into a parking spot at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. The C-130 Hercules primarily performs the tactical portion of the airlift mission. The aircraft is capable of operating from rough, dirt strips and is the prime transport for air dropping troops and equipment into hostile areas in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa. Sgt. Meyer a native of Hudson, Wis., is deployed from the Minneapolis-St. Paul Air Reserve Station, Minn.
