Pvt. Jose Gomez, an infantryman from Santa Anna, Calif., assigned to Company C, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division - Baghdad, pulls strands of concertina wire into a trailer bed, Oct. 5, 2008. Gomez and the Soldiers of Co. C have worked for more than three weeks to collect the razor sharp C-Wire from the streets and neighborhoods of West Rashid's Jihad and Fourat communities in an attempt to improve the quality of life for local Iraqi residents in southern Baghdad.
