Sailors assigned to the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan take a closer look at a Torah in the chapel on board, during a introduction class to the Jewish religious holiday of Yom Kippur that was held prior to a brief Yom Kippur service. The Torah, which was donated to the ship, was hand written about 200 years ago. Ronald Reagan is currently deployed to the 5th Fleet/NAVCENT area of responsibility. Operations in the NAVCENT area of operations are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
