Cmdr. Joel Newman, rabbi, answers a few questions for some Sailors in the chapel in the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan after a introduction class to the Jewish religious holiday of Yom Kippur that was held just prior to a brief Yom Kippur service. Rabbi Newman spent three days on the ship to hold the service and answer questions for the crew. Ronald Reagan is currently deployed to the 5th Fleet/NAVCENT area of responsibility. Operations in the NAVCENT area of operations are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
