Wesley Hixon, 1st Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division, Sept. 18 at Fort Lewis' Madigan Army Medical Center as Sgt. Maj. Billy King, MAMC command sergeant major, looks on. Hixon received the medal after being injured by a 500-pound improvised explosive device Feb. 8, 2008 while conducting operation in Iraq.
