Seaman Ryan Stewart, a 21-year-old native of Texas, checks the hydraulic hoses on a boat davit for leaks on board the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan. In cooperation with Ronald Reagan's Deck Department, enginemen help maintain machinery that assist deck-seaman in their everyday duties. Ronald Reagan is currently deployed to the 5th Fleet/NAVCENT area of responsibility. Operations in the NAVCENT area of operations are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
