A scout sniper assigned to Battalion Landing Team 2/6 of the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, fires his MK-11 sniper rifle from a CH-46 Sea Knight helicopter while flying over the Gulf of Aden. The snipers train by firing at floating targets from different places inside the helicopter. The 26th MEU is part of the Iwo Jima Expeditionary Strike Group and is deployed in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
