The Intrepid Air and Space Museum transits through New York Harbor during the escort to its homeport at Pier 86 on Manhattan's Upper West Side, Oct. 2, 2008. The Intrepid was brought from the Navy Homeport Pier on Staten Island, N.Y., by a fleet of McAllister tugboats and surrounded by the U.S. Coast Guard and other law enforcement agencies to ensure safety to the vessel and its passengers.
