The Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum is escorted to its homeport at Pier 86 on Manhattan's Upper West Side, Oct. 2, 2008. The Intrepid was brought from the Navy Homeport Pier on Staten Island, N.Y., by a fleet of McAllister tugboats and surrounded by the U.S. Coast Guard and other law enforcement agencies to ensure safety of the vessel and its passengers.
