Genia Brown (right), an Atlanta, Ga. native, maneuvers a metal plank onto a set of ropes while attempting to complete one of the obstacles of the Leadership Reaction Course here, March 22, 2014. The Leadership Reaction Course was designed to reinforce the importance of teamwork and test an individual's leadership ability and problem solving skills. Brown was one of the more than 400 officer candidates from across the Southeastern United States that participates in a three-day Mini-Officer Candidates Course here. Many of the officer candidates that attended the course here will attend the real OCS in Quantico, Va., where they will endure ten weeks of grueling training and evaluation to determine their fitness to lead Marines as Marine officers.
