An MV-22B Osprey from Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 163 (Reinforced), 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, conducts carrier qualifications on the USS Makin Island (LHD-8) during their group sail exercise, March 11. The MEU is a Marine air-ground task force capable of conducting amphibious operations, crisis response, and limited contingency operations. The 11th MEU is scheduled to deploy in summer 2014.
