Dorin Recean, minister of Internal Affairs for Moldova, participates in discussions March 10 the Senior Leadership Seminar on Security Sector Reform for Representatives of the Government of Moldova at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. The event, attended by many of the top leaders in the government of Moldova, familiarized the senior leaders of Moldova with the security sector reform process; identified how each agency and ministry plays a role in developing the strategies to undertake the security sector reform; highlighted that a “strong security sector is important for their European aspirations and integration goals;” and discussed and identified the next steps to implement and assess the national security strategy.
