U.S. Marines with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) observe the Moroccan coastline as the USS Bataan (LHD 5) passes through the Strait of Gibraltar. The MEU is deployed to the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group as a sea-based, expeditionary crisis response force capable of conducting amphibious missions across the full range of military operations.
