Spc. LeMarze Smith, a Detroit native and cook with the 2nd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, stocks shelves with yogurt and milk before the lunch rush at the Gibson Dining Facility, March 4. Smith and other soldiers in the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, were competing for top honors during the 46th Annual Philip A. Connelly Competition. Currently, the Gibson DFAC is one of six remaining DFACs in the Army-wide competition for best garrison DFAC. The soldiers, who belong to various battalions within the brigade, will find out the results sometime in May.
