Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) 3rd Class Barry Swanson, from Atlanta, signals an MH-60S Knighthawk helicopter, assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 25, from the flight deck of the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) during a vertical replenishment (VERTREP) with Military Sealift Command Dry Cargo and Ammunition Ship USNS Washington Chambers (T-AKE 11). Bonhomme Richard is the lead ship of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is currently conducting joint force operations in the U.S. 7th Fleet Area of Responsibility.
