Soldiers, airmen and veterans attend an annual prayer breakfast at the American Lake Conference Center on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., Feb. 28. Tracing its origins to the Revolutionary War, this event is held by each installation in the armed forces in February. A variety of faith believers attended the breakfast to connect with others through prayer. Jenny Boucek, Seattle Storm's associate head coach, gave a speech on the ways she overcame adversity on the path to her current spiritual fitness.
