Rear Adm. Cynthia M. Thebaud Commander, Logistics Group Western Pacific Commander, Task Force 73 Singapore Area Coordinator, visits Seabees from Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 1's Civic Construction Action Detail (CCAD) Timor Leste take a tour of Bacora School in Timor Leste. Seabees from NMCB 3 renovated one of the buildings at the schoolhouse constructing four new classrooms. NMCB 1 is currently working to provide the school with a privacy fence that will reduce foot and vehicle traffic. Rear Admiral Thebaud thanked the Seabees for all of their and the previous battalions hard work in Timor Leste . Aligned with Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus' four priorities of people, platforms, partnerships and power, NMCB 1 will deliver the Navy's forward presence through its work with several host nations at its CCADs in the Pacific and will continue to conduct construction operations in the Northern Command.
