Scott Stapp, the former lead singer of the music group Creed, harmonizes himself with his lead guitarist during a concert sponsored by the ship's Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Department on the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan on the ship's flight deck. Stapp became interactive with the ship's crew, encouraging their cheers, as he said, "Be as loud as you want, because we're in the middle nowhere." MWR sponsors events to raise to Sailors morale and provide Sailors with unique recreation activities. Ronald Reagan is currently deployed in the 5th Fleet/NAVCENT area of responsibilities. Operations in the NAVCENT area of operations are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
